In winter, a little encouragement…

“He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.”  Growth takes time, but we know God is at work.

Here we are in winter, and I’m taking down Christmas decorations today.  The house looks a little bare.  The yard looks a little bare.  I’ve had a tiresome, hard-to-shake cough.   But I am thinking that when ground lies fallow for awhile, the rest makes it more healthy and fertile later on.  So as we go through the bleaker months of winter, may we remember that God is not absent, but present, and can use the winter as well as the summer.

The greeting card above can be seen in more detail at my friend Barb’s (Sweetb) Etsy Shop.

About katiekind

Enjoying the second half of life. I have three sons who are the apples of my eye and a wonderful husband of 35 years--those are the important things. Long ago, out of the blue, I became a Christian. It was something I never planned on, but what joy it has been. I do website development and I like to read and garden and paint and I love beauty and truth.
