Mid-Life Birthday

My husband turned 50 this week and we had a fun, small family party for him. Middlest son brought a wonderful bottle of wine from his vacation in Napa Valley, and we grilled filet mignon, and set a pretty table out on the back patio with tablecloth, flowers, good china and candles. It was really lovely and a nice time. 50 is a number that really takes some getting used to, although Scott certainly wears it well. It will be my turn later in the year.

Also we celebrated the last day of Youngest’s junior year of high school. He has a lot of baseball lined up for the summer, and is theoretically planning to get a summer job.

About katiekind

Enjoying the second half of life. I have three sons who are the apples of my eye and a wonderful husband of 35 years--those are the important things. Long ago, out of the blue, I became a Christian. It was something I never planned on, but what joy it has been. I do website development and I like to read and garden and paint and I love beauty and truth.
