Recommended Reading for Beginning Rose-Growers

How-to-grow-roses books weren’t too helpful to me though I did get some out of the library.  What really transformed me from a “plunk in ground, hope it grows” gardener to a rose grower is the Rose Forum at Gardenweb.  It also helped me to go to a rose-growing seminar at a nursery where the fellow demonstrated the use of a hose-end sprayer.     Watching his pruning demonstration also helped.

About katiekind

Enjoying the second half of life. I have three sons who are the apples of my eye and a wonderful husband of 35 years--those are the important things. Long ago, out of the blue, I became a Christian. It was something I never planned on, but what joy it has been. I do website development and I like to read and garden and paint and I love beauty and truth.
