Interview with Eugene Peterson

Spirituality for all the Wrong Reasons

I was happy to find this interview with Eugene Peterson in Christianity Today again. I read it a couple of years ago and bought the book it mentions, Christ Plays in 10,000 Places. Never finished reading the book, though. I should get it out and give it another try. It was not the right book at the right time for me, then.

The interview, on the other hand, is very compelling. I reverberate more with what he’s saying two years on than I did when I first read it.

About katiekind

Enjoying the second half of life. I have three sons who are the apples of my eye and a wonderful husband of 35 years--those are the important things. Long ago, out of the blue, I became a Christian. It was something I never planned on, but what joy it has been. I do website development and I like to read and garden and paint and I love beauty and truth.

  1. What a great article!! Though (and I hope I don’t come across as offensive) I have to ask how this man wrote the Message. I really dislike that version as I find it dumbed down and oft-times interpreted poorly.

  2. Brian says:

Thanks for the reminder of this article. I just finished reading it again and it just “rings true”, ya know?

I also forwarded the CT link on to our entire church e-mail list. We’ll see if I get any comments over that. :)
