Happy Mother’s Day

It has been a wonderful Mother’s Day. After church, Scott grilled boneless ribs and made a wonderful salad. The day was gorgeous, so we sat out in the backyard and ate and talked. D16 had gotten me a wonderful, humorous card–his specialty–and C26 and J23 telephoned for long talks. Wonderfully sweet boys. C26 also sent this:


And God sent this–the very first bud of my new rose “Brigadoon”:


Scott gave me a beautiful vase made by an art student at the university. All my guys were so thoughtful to me.

Happy Mother’s Day to the wonderful mothers who visit here from time to time. You are inspirations to me, each of you.
