The Nursery is Nifty

The church nursery was delightful this morning. I’m so sorry M. was not a happy camper, though. We took him out to his momma. (((hugs to both))) We missed him. Hopefully next week he’ll be back in the swing of things. We had a new little girl in there who was a little older, maybe. She warmed up throughout the morning. One thing that really helped her was a silly phone call where I tried to guess her name–this was later in the morning when I’d already established that I knew her name. I don’t think I’d play that way with a little one if there was any real question about that. S. was a fantastic help as always.

My mom had to have another surgery this morning, this time to find and remove a blood clot.  They think they were successful and my stepdad feels like they’ll be moving in a good direction now.   I wish she weren’t so far away.

About katiekind

Enjoying the second half of life. I have three sons who are the apples of my eye and a wonderful husband of 35 years--those are the important things. Long ago, out of the blue, I became a Christian. It was something I never planned on, but what joy it has been. I do website development and I like to read and garden and paint and I love beauty and truth.
