Scott’s been kept hopping all weekend long down at the university because so many recitals were scheduled this weekend.

I was fortunate to go to two today:  one was the recital of a local violin teacher’s students.  D16’s girlfriend played in it and did a grand job.  The teacher seems really encouraging and I’m thinking I’d like to take lessons.  I love the sound of violin.

Then this evening we went to see Sue-Jean Park’s violin recital.  She’s the new violin professor.  My word, she’s phenomenal.  Holy cow.  She had a big following of Korean students who came to the concert and who had cooked a very generous banquet of Korean food for a reception.  It was delicious.

About katiekind

Enjoying the second half of life. I have three sons who are the apples of my eye and a wonderful husband of 35 years--those are the important things. Long ago, out of the blue, I became a Christian. It was something I never planned on, but what joy it has been. I do website development and I like to read and garden and paint and I love beauty and truth.
